Our faculty members drs. Mirscha Winterdal, Jumira Spier MSc, and Nishenou Felix MSc participated in the professional development course, 'AI in Assessment,' held in Lisbon, Portugal, facilitated by Clément Huet.

This course focused on the dual challenge facing modern educators: effectively incorporating Artificial Intelligence into assessment design while navigating the complexities of an AI-driven academic world. The course centered on a pivotal question: 'How can I use the power of AI in my assessments and still foster and assess meaningful learning?

Participation in this forward-thinking educational course was made possible by the IPA through Erasmus+ funds from the KA131 mobility projects.

The faculty members look back on a successful and intensive course week. They are grateful that Erasmus+ provided them with the opportunity to further develop as professionals in this rapidly evolving field. In addition to gaining practical technical insights, the exchange with educators from other countries highlighted the importance of balancing technological efficiency with authentic pedagogical goals.

The knowledge gained during this course is highly recommended to any educator looking to adapt their curriculum to the digital age while maintaining high standards of academic integrity and student engagement. The faculty members look forward to further Erasmus+ projects that may arise from the insights and international connections gained during their time in Lisbon.
