Welcome to CTR21

The Caribbean Teacher as a Researcher in the 21st Century (CTR21) project is a practitioner-based study that looks to identify effective ways to stimulate an inquiry based mindset among primary school teachers on the islands of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St Eustatius and St Maarten (Dutch Caribbean).

Project Aims
It also aims to create and share innovative research practices in the participating schools with the aim of serving the needs of Caribbean learners.

Collaborative partnerships
This project is a collaboration between the Instituto Pedagogico Arubano (IPA), University of Curaçao Dr. Moises Da Costa Gomez (UoC), University of Sint Maarten (USM), University of Aruba (UA) and the Nationaal Regieorgaan Onderwijsonderzoek (NRO).

  • CTR21 Project Reaches Major Milestone

    The CTR21 project has achieved an important milestone with the successful completion of Phase Two of the research. All ten participating schools have now completed their CTR21 training and have officially been certified.
